Microsoft Experience - Hardware Service Centre

1 Year back:- Bowing to my desire to own a wireless combo (keyboard and mouse), I bought one. After many rounds of search in Nehru place for a combo that matches my taste, finally went for Microsoft Desktop 2000 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo . Costed me around 1350 bucks, but truly worth every penny. Review:- The design and build quality is too good. Surface texture is awesome. That's just from outside.Inside, there is much good stuff. There are 5 "Favourite" buttons on the keyboard which you can customize to quickly access any folder or program with a single stroke. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to buy a wireless combo.  Just a piece of advice - Even-though the mouse has a slot for two batteries (AA), you can use the mouse on a single battery which keeps the mouse "light". Otherwise, 2 AA batteries will make it too heavy to lift or move. Present:- Something went wrong. The transceiver (which connects keyboard &

The Dark Passenger

If you have seen the Cartoon Network in your childhood, then the word "Dexter" would remind you of that infamous animation series Dexter's Laboratory  in which a short little boy (Dexter) who is always busy with his scientific experiments and also tries to keep away his mischievous sister "Dee Dee" out of his secret lab inside his house. If you don't know about him, that's too bad. It's a great animation series. But today it's not about that Dexter. This is about  Dexter  a.k.a Dexter Morgan. This character is from the Top-Rated TV series Dexter . The series is about Dexter Morgan who works as a blood spatter analyst in Miami Metro Homicide who also moonlights as a serial killer to satisfy his urge to kill. Due to disturbing incident in his childhood, he gradually develops this urge and loses his ability to feel emotions (especially empathy). His foster father, who is a cop, noticed these urges in him and teaches him a 'Code' on

The Autowala

It was September 4th (Tuesday), Gurgaon . I woke up and heard the sound of drizzling rain. Hoping that it would stop by the time i step out for the office, I got ready in an hour. Still raining. Unfortunately, I forgot my umbrella at my home (Andhra) in the previous week when i went on vacation to Ongole. I have a Adidas cap which can protect me from getting cold, pneumonia, etc. But it can't stop from my formals getting drenched. No choice. I had to leave for the office, I was already late.                                     Took some monetary change for the share-auto and my ID cards. When i came down the stairs, aunty (house owner) in the ground floor asked me whether i need an umbrella. I am amazed at her benevolence. Considering my previous experience with the rude owners of Gurgaon, she was always good to me. But this is more than 'Good'. Maybe it was the good side-effect of the Tirupati-Laddu and swee

An attempt for the Hot Seat - KBC Season 6

Till today, I remember how i used to wait for every episode of KBC in its first season. Not only me, many Indians were in the same state as I was. People would love to imagine, being on the hot seat with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan asking you General knowledge questions, for which you will get money if you answer them correct. What an experience it will be. Oh sorry sorry ... If you don't know what KBC is ... It stands for  " Kaun Banega Crorepati "(who will be the millionaire). The name itself reveals that it is based on UK game show Who wants to be a Millionaire? . [click the links to know more about them] The show was a huge hit ... For reasons like  Anyone can win money in this show who has good General Knowledge and luck in his pocket. Especially for people who are from low income families and educated enough, but don't get chances in their life to prove their worthiness, this show is a hope. This show can bring drastic changes in  lives of those p

Chrome Mulittask Mode - Don't let it fool you.

It was a weekend. Was going through the news feed in the Facebook. One of my former colleague (Mr.Mayank) was also there in my friends list. He shared a link regarding a Google product " Chrome Mulittask Mode ". Open this link now before you read further (If you don't want your surprise to be ruined.) With general and useless curiosity of mine, I opened the link. The webpage is similar to this screenshot :- There was a YouTube video describing the product. I didn't even listen to the whole video. Went straight to the "Try Multitask Mode" button. A mouse pointer was generated in addition to the original one. With anxiousness, I clicked here and there. After a while, there were like 10 mouse pointers wandering all over the screen space. Then a big mouse pointer appeared, moving from left to right side of the screen. I thought "What the hell" ...   I gave up and clicked the "Exit Multitask Mode" button. There came a

SOPA & PIPA – The Killer Twins

SOPA & PIPA - Does it ring a Bell??? If it does ring a bell and you know everything about it, then good, you don't need this post. If you have a vague idea or no idea about it, then do continue to read. For the past few months, you can see these acronyms in many of the websites. Some of you may know that they are related to some American law, freedom of speech, piracy, etc. Let me give you an idea and how it will impact you. Most of us download stuff from internet like songs, movies, games, softwares, etc. Whether it be through Torrents, Direct links, FTP servers, etc.  Some of these are completely FREE to use. Problem comes when you download stuff which has a price to pay. This is referred to as “Online Piracy” . As you don’t pay money for using this copyrighted material, downloading such data will drain the revenue of the companies who owns it. Piracy has no limits. Even a person in Antarctica can play “Gears of War” if he/she has an awesome laptop and good inte
